The first of its type in the South West of England, April saw the delivery of a PM85026ce - an 85 ton/m capacity crane complete with a J204.20 hydraulic fly jib attachment mounted on a 6 wheel tractor unit to RICHARD TOVEY TRANSPORT LTD.

The vehicle will extend the range of vehicles already operated by the company being used primarily for the installation of mobile phone masts, whilst also undertaking other tasks currently being carried out by more cumbersome cranes.

The vehicle has a bespoke demountable body system installed over the 5th wheel offering maximum flexibility.In addition, the vehicle has a new type of variable hydraulic pump installed offering extreme precision and some might say almost graceful movement.

The entire vehicle is completely stable and load tested for stability at 25% overload and the crane weight is 8560kg with the whole vehicle weighting in a little over 23000 kg complete with fly and body.

From an operational perpsective, the crane has a broad range of capacity from 20000kg at nearly 4m (Over 13 ft). to 1210kg at 26.25m (87 1/2ft).
